Irpin city brand book

The story

Irpin is a new, beautiful young town near Kyiv. There are many parks, forests and new houses, where many young families have settled. I have been living here since 2013 and had wanted to make a new modern logo and brand that would be beautiful and concise in exchange for the old. Together with the new city administration and the Irpin development agency, we developed a new visual style and sign of the city.

 The metaphor

In the Slavic tradition, the rhombus is one of the most beloved signs. On women’s clothing, he meets more often than the male; But women and men wore belts decorated with a diamond-shaped ornament. A rhombus is an unconditional amulet. It is a sign of farmers, a symbol of grain-giving fields, a symbol of happy offspring. 

Logo and symbols

The overall composition consists of a small rhombus, which in turn contains small elements (icons). Each icon symbolizes a particular city symbol. In the complex, the composition symbolizes a common brand that clearly demonstrates the multi-profile of the city of Irpin.

City brand book

A new brand of the city of Irpin was developed and marketed. This Irpin corporate identity guide identifies the main corporate and graphic elements of corporate style and their combinations for all project participants, as well as instructions for designing business documents: letterheads, envelopes, business cards and other materials.

Urban environment design code

I received an order from the city administration and the head of the municipal enterprise “Improvement of the city of Irpin city” for the development of General requirements for outdoor advertising of the city. This very tool is the design code of the urban environment, which determines the rules for the design of integrated improvement and the placement of elements of the improvement of the urban environment. The use of a design code will allow the urban environment to develop while maintaining the stability of the necessary environmental parameters: visual appeal, convenience and comfort, safety and accessibility, reasonable sufficiency.

City utilities rebranding

There were a lot of utility companies in the city that needed to be rebranded. The idea was that all utility services should be subordinate to the unified style of Irpin new brand, but with different colors code. All this required considerable effort for implementation. Today all of the enterprises are actively using the new corporate identity.

Travel portal

Our team have created the touristic program for developing travel attraction for the Irpin, so the first goal was to make the touristic portal Irpin.ua.  Eventually, we made a beautiful site and administrate it for 3 years. 

Investment site

The Irpin City council decided to create a specific investment site  Investirpin.com . Basicaly, they ordered our team to develop this site as a part of the program for investment. We collected main objects and research some data.
