Skaiddevik
“Between dream and fjord, there is a place you don’t remember—but it remembers you.”
Skaiddevik is an original cinematic world, unfolding as a serialized mystery-drama rooted in Nordic myths, nature, and memory.
Written, designed, and creatively directed by Andrey Gaev, this project explores the edges between the visible and the invisible — where water meets stone, and reality dissolves into vision.
🎬 An AI-powered visual narrative. A handcrafted metafable.
📍 Filmed in the mind. Rendered through machines. Rooted in the North.
A fictional northern town hidden among fjords, forests, and layers of perception. Inspired by Twin Peaks, Scandinavian folklore, and spiritual metaphysics, Skaiddevik is both a place and a metaphor — a lens on grief, memory, illusion, and rebirth.
🌀 Dual timelines.
🕯️ Spirit vs Matter.
🌊 Dominant elements: water, stone, wind, silence.
This is a longform AI-assisted cinematic series, where each episode expands the universe through visual poetry and narrative threads.
This project began as a feeling.
Fog. Silence. A girl in a mask.
The North.
“I wanted to make something that felt like a dream I once had — a dream that wouldn’t leave.”
Originally conceived in fragments by Andrey Gaev, Skaiddevik evolved into a deeply structured narrative. The mythos draws from:
- Norse mythology
- David Lynch and S. Kubrik movies
- Jung’s dream theory
- Animals and birds
- Sacred geometry and ancient alphabets
The process includes:
Scriptwriting & World-building (original lore, metaphysical logic, symbolic layers)
Design & Visual Development (via Figma, Midjourney, DALL·E, FigJam)
Music creation ( AI tools + using my background as a musician: guitar, drums, percussion, vocal)
AI Collaboration for motion, editing, and voice
Structured Narrative Pipeline: From mind map → scene breakdown → animatic → render
- Steinar – the boy of stone
- Maya – the woman of water
- Andra – the mirror of desire
- The Town – alive, watching
- Lavvo – the world beyond reason
